Design, construct and enjoy your own timber creations and furniture renovations. (But not Upholstery!) Come along and get your DIY juices flowing.

Try your hand at creating your own timber masterpieces. Bring your own plans or bring an idea and we can help you design and plan your project. Alternatively you can use one of our plans to get you started. Great ideas to start are stools, trays, boxes or shelves that can be used inside or out.

Restore or repurpose a piece to make something truly your own.

Come and learn how to prepare your own plans, create cutting lists, use hand tools and power tools safely, create a range of timber joints and improve your carpentry techniques while gaining a better understanding of the intricacies of timber furniture. If you are seeking advice on any DIY you are planning to do in your own home we are more than happy to answer your questions and give you some pointers.

Here at Fraser ACE we have fantastic facilities with fully equipped workshops and teaching staff who are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. All skill levels are welcome.

Material costs are not included, the cost will depend on the project you chose. This course is supported by the TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to assist with literacy or numeracy needs of students. You must attend 80% of classes.
