**Sewing for Beginners with Tutor Jenny Jack**

Have you ever wished to acquire a new skill? Embark on an exciting journey of learning by enrolling in this introductory sewing course facilitated by the experienced and passionate tutor, Jenny Jack.

**Course Highlights:**

- **Perfect for Beginners:** Whether you're completely new to sewing or it been a while and you need a refresher, this class is designed just for you!

- **Learn at Your Own Pace:** Explore the fundamentals of sewing in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. This course starts from absolute basics, guiding you to gain skills and confidence for your individual projects.

- **Comprehensive Learning:** The initial lessons cover threading up a machine, sewing samples, and engaging in beginner projects. As your confidence grows, you'll progress to your own projects with guidance from the skilled tutor. Additionally, you'll have the chance to learn and use an overlocker.

- **Bring Your Own Machine:** Feel free to bring your sewing machine if you have one. Alternatively, there are plenty available for use in the classroom.

**Equipment Needed:**

 All necessary supplies will be provided for the first few lessons. During this time, discussions will take place about required equipment and where to purchase it based on your project preferences.

**About the Tutor - Jenny Jack:**

Meet Jenny Jack, an avid stitcher with a wealth of experience in the fashion industry. Having studied Fashion Design, Jenny has worked in apparel design, patternmaking, and various aspects of manufacturing. Her notable achievements include being a finalist designer in seven different garments showcased in World of Wearable Art shows.

For the past five years, Jenny has shared her expertise, teaching sewing to both teenagers and adults. Join Jenny on this sewing journey and let her passion and knowledge guide you.

PLEASE NOTE - There will be NO class on 23 October due to Aiga Tasi Graduation

This course is supported by the TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to assist with literacy, numeracy and wellbeing needs of students. You must attend 80% of the class. At the same time we hope you will learn other useful and interesting skills and have a lot of fun learning with us.
