Want to learn a 500 year old book binding technique still in use today to make, notebooks, journals, sketch books and photo albums?

In this work shop you will learn how to make your own book cloth from fabric, create lasting and decorative covers, the theory and practice behind sewing Japanese stab bound books and why they are the most versatile and beginner friendly books to make.


 

Why learn stab binding?  

Stab bound books use single sheets of paper and the covers can be reused repeatedly.   We will be making A6 notepads however the techniques can be used to make A3 sketchpads, guest books and bind your children’s artwork to pop on the coffee table.


With a bit of practice, you will be making these great stocking stuffers at home in under an hour!
